Source: HCL Support web page
Please note this is a living document and is being updated.

Note: A plus symbol (+) before the SPR number indicates a fix for a regression bug. A regression bug is an issue that was introduced in a Maintenance Release that did not exist in previous releases of that code stream. For example, a bug that appears in Release 11.0.1 but did not exist in Release 11.0 is a regression.

  • SPR# BRISBKTL3F – Fixed a seldom seen issue where a before new mail agent would cause delivery to fail, with the error Router: Agent ‘BeforeNewMail’ error: Notes error: Field is too large (32K) or View’s column & selection formulas are too large.

Admin had to manually delete the redirect. This has now been corrected and no redirect will be created.
  • SPR# BSPRB7EHEX – Fixed a problem with SCR where it was not honoring the notes.ini RTR_INI_DEFAULT_PORT which tells RTR to use a specific port. SCR will now also use the same port if the INI is set.

  • SPR# DCKTBGUNLH – Fixed an issue in Domino where reverting an 11.0 server to 10.0.1 where the 11.0 server was DAOS Tier2 enabled and had at least one database with Tier 2 attachments would result in a panic in dbgroup.c – PANIC: ASSERT(MasterDBG->Offlined || FoundOne)
  • SPR# EPORBGKQSS – Upgraded OpenSSL to 1.1.1a version
  • SPR# GFALBFRJAP – Fixed a problem with setting the TIKA_JVM_OPTIONS_OVERRIDE ini variable where the first -D parameter gets concatenated to the built in argument. Workaround was to add the -D parameter twice.

  • +SPR# JKEYBEYGPQ – Messages sent to external SMTP systems that returned a failed Delivery Status Notification used to retain the original sent message id in $MessageID. Now the original sent message id is in the item SMTPSavedMsgID, even for the case fixed in this SPR, where a mime before new mail agent is defined. This regression was introduced in 10.01
  • SPR# JMANBHNKQM – If Cluster Symmetry (Repair) is enabled, when a person was deleted via the Delete Person dialog in the Admin client with the option “Delete mail replicas on all other servers”, if the option “Delete user from the Domino Directory immediately” was also selected, Repair would recreate the mail file from a cluster mate after it was deleted. This is now fixed so that all replicas of the mail file in the cluster are deleted. A workaround prior to the fix being installed is to not check the “Delete user from the Domino Directory immediately” option.
  • SPR# JPAIAX9MZX – Fixed a problem in adminp where the Administration Process was incorrectly processing adminp requests multiple times due to a logic error where the timestamp of the last processing request was not being updated. • SPR# MSKABBBJE5 – The INI ARCHIVE_PRESERVE_ADMIN_SERVER=1 can be set on a server that performs archiving to preserve the admin server of the archive db during an archive operation. Normally, as part of the ACL being copied during archiving of a mail file to an archive db the admin server will be copied as well. In cases where a copy of the archive is on the same server as the mail file this is not a problem. But if there is no archive copy on the mail server, then the archive db will have an admin server that is different. This situation is not common.

Verse on-Premises or iNotes? Default or option?

Verse On-Premises (VOP) is already in version 1.0.9.A. Most users are still used to accessing mail from a web browser using iNotes. Do you want to set VOP as default or give users a option between iNotes and VOP?

Upgrade your design or create a new iwaredir from the template included in the VOP 1.0.9 or 1.0.9.A package.

Notice: This version (1.0.9) of the redirector template includes only translations for English, Chinese(China), Chinese(Taiwan), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese(Brazil), and Spanish.

You also need to set the “Domino Web Server Configuration” application (domcfg.nsf). For the internet site or virtual server set login form “DWALoginForm”

Verse On-Premises as default

If you want the VOP to be the default for webmail, you can simply set “/ verse” in the “HomeURL” field of the document server or internet site.
Of course, provided you use iwaredir for redirection.

The login form will open and after logging in you will open directly to the VOP. This is the setting for all users.

Verse on-Premises or iNotes as option

If you want the user to choose between iNotes and Verse, you can configure iwaredir.nsf. Open this redirector database iwaredir.nsf and on UI Setup page, select the following options which enable users to log on to Verse:

  • Enable Personal Options?
    No
  • Enable Login Options?
    Yes
  • Enable HCL Verse?
    Yes

Then set set “ /iwaredir.nsf?open” in the “HomeURL” field of the document server or internet site. After restarting the HTTP task the login form will open with the option “Verse / iNotes”

Notice: I encountered the problem that upgrading the design from the template and setting all the options did not open the options page. Just create a new iwaredir.nsf from the template.

This feature is ignored for authentication of the following users:

  • Notes client users
  • Web-only users without Notes IDs
  • Users who authenticate via SAML federated identity authentication

How to configure?

  • Create or edit a Configuration document in the Domino directory. (Configuration – Servers – Configurations)
  • Open the Security tab
  • In the Internet Password Verification section, select one of the following options

If some web users with registered Notes IDs do not have IDs in the vault or if you are unsure if they do, use “Check vault first, then directory“. If Notes IDs are not found in the vault, Domino will use internet passwords in Domino directory Person documents to authenticate the users.

How to easy change internet password (iNotes)

Sometimes it happens that the user needs to change the Internet password most often to iNotes.

You can prepare an application, but if you need it really fast, just enter the URL for a Web application and add “?changepassword” after the database name at the end of the URL.

For example:
https://server.domain.com/mail/databasename.nsf?changepassword

In the “Change Password” screen, enter your old Internet password. Next enter a new password, and then confirm your new password.

  • SPR #GRHEB7ET5U – Fixed an issue where two domino servers saving the same attachment to DAOS with DAOS encryption disabled create files with the same name but different file headers (and therefore different checksums). While this does not cause any problems for Domino or DAOS, it prevented some 3rd party de-duplication storage devices from being able to eliminate redundant copies of any given .nlo. This change ensures that any new DAOS objects which are created will have a consistent file format and that an attachment stored to DAOS will have the same name and checksum regardless of which Domino server creates it.
  • SPR #LIBAB59NUY – The ability to enable the upload of a notes ID to the mail file via iNotes can now be enabled on the server using the notes.ini of ENABLE_IDUPLOAD_FOR_SAML=1.
  • SPR#JBUDB6NMJ6 – Restrictions on the length of JVM arguments passed to the JVM on AIX / IBM i platforms caused Tika attachment filtering to fail to load. This fix allows Tika to load though a side-effect is that some additional Tika-related debug may appear in the live server console only. The additional debug is not written to the console log file on disk.
  • SPR #RGAU9VLHT3 – On the domino server set the following notes.ini (DISABLE_SAML_FLAG=1) to allow for an ID vault sync with a SAML user via the SecIdfget function.
