What’s coming in Verse On-Premises (VOP) 1.0.8?

Release of Verse On-Premisees (VOP) 1.0.8 is scheduled on Q2.
So what can we look forward to?

  • Support for IBM I Series
  • Ability to open a server side archive mail file
    Link to archive appears in the folder panel. Control with INI parameterSupport for IBM I Series
  • Ability to display configured alternative name rather than primary names of users in the VOP user interface
    This feature is controlled using policies
  • Rooms and resources are now part of ‘find available times’
    – When searching for available times, rooms and resources will be displayed in the react calendar
  • Repeat dates are now shown to users, and others
    Users can now see repeat dates displayed in the meetings
  • Changed font in VOP to use pt rather than px in order to match Notes and iNotes fonts
    – VOP font size now matches Notes and iNotes
  • GA the ability to view VOP on a mobile web browser
    VOP on Mobile web browser was introduced in VOP 1.0.7 as preview
  • Ability to respond to an encrypted calendar invitation with an encrypted response
    – Now users can respond to a calendar invitation that is encrypted and the response is encrypted
  • Moved Security preferences from iNotes to Verse
    (Dependent on FP changes that will likely be in Domino 10.0.1 FP2)
    They are added to the Security settings section of the Mail and Calendar Settings page.
    Actions include:
    – Change internet password
    – Upload Notes ID to the user’s mail file
    – Change Notes password
    – Sync Notes ID with the ID vault
    – View info about the Notes ID
    – Delete the Notes ID from the user’s mail file
    – Export/Download the Notes ID from the mail file

  • Set new Calendar event forms UI as the default
  • Move more preferences from iNotes
  • Ability to manage Mail Rules
  • Use Picture URL from user’s Domino Directory document for user avatars in Vese UI
  • Color Coding for messages
