HCL Notes/Domino 11.0.1 FP4 is out

HCL completed a full week of updates for several of its products with Fix Pack 4 for Notes / Domino 11.0.1. See a detailed list of fixes and download it from Flexnet.

Setting MIMEAddVersionHeader to 0 prevents Domino from adding a MIME-Version header to the message. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1

  • SPR# ASHEC5JLUQ – Server – ID Vault – Provide a debug notes.ini to update the IDFile view in the Vault on each look up of the user in the Vault in this view. Workaround is to have the agent code refresh the ID Vault view before registering new user.

  • SPR# DCKTBRKPVY – Server – DAOS – Fixed an issue where if deletion logging was enabled on the name and address book database (names.nsf), a request to resynchronize the DAOS catalog (tell daosmgr resync) would sometimes hang. The symptom of the hang was that the message “DAOSMGR: Resync Started” was displayed but the resync never made progress nor completed. The problem could be mitigated by disabling deletion logging on the NAB using “load compact names.nsf -dl off”.

Once this issue occurred, newly added documents are not updated with the following message: Full Text message: This document number has already been used. Document number = 5318595, errcode = 1822

  • SPR# NVJIC378N8 – Server – MIME – Fixed an issue where the server could hang due to deadlock involving semaphore on the UNK table.

Note, the Full Text Auto Indexing feature can be disabled using notes.ini FT_SUPPRESS_AUTO_UPDATING=1. This regression was introduced in 10.0.1.

  • SPR# STAAC3E3DK – Server – Full Text Index – Domino server update tasks will no longer be limited to a single inline indexer thread. Each instance of the update task (Indexer) will have an instance of the Inline Indexer, instead of there being only one for the entire server run.
  • SPR# SVEABXQAZD – Server – Stats – Fixed an issue where lines in domino_stats file were being truncated.
  • SPR# TMAIC36CN7 – Server – Database -Fixed an issue with overquota warning being displayed when it shouldn’t involving nifnsf enabled dbs when having to recreate the view
  • SPR# VMRUC3LLMS – Server – Repair – Fixed an issue where error about Repair Failed – File xxx.nsf cannot be repaired [Invalid NSF version] was being given when an older server tried to repair a database that was > ods 53 on a 12.0 server.

Client

  • +SPR# ADEEC5YHVH – Client – Drag and Drop – Fixed an issue with the Notes Client where Drag and Drop of an attachment from Notes to Chrome or Firefox browser would result in a 0 length attachment. This was previously attempted to be fixed by SPR# JVEKAR6GWT which required notes.ini Disable_opt_drag_drop=1 to be set. However that fix had some undesireable side effects. This new fix resolves the issue and is on by default.
  • SPR# ASATBN4J6K – Client – iCal – Allow Form Feed characters as end of line if ICalAllowFFasEOL=1 is set in notes.ini.
  • +SPR# ASHABWDCHT – Client – Mail – Fixed a hang that would occur when try to drag and drop a mail message to the body field a newly composed mail message. This regression was introduced in 10.0.1 FP6.
  • +SPR# ASIAC2VPZX – Client – Fixed an issue where Notes would fail to launch if in the notes.ini file did not contain the Directory= entry. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1 FP3.

  • +SPR# AYAVC3TELB – Client – Mac Big Sur – Fixed an issue where Mac Notes client failed to launch after Password dialog if launched from then Notes app shortcut.. Workaround was to launch using the command notes -RPARAMS -clean. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1
  • SPR# BKANC4XNS6 – Client – Install – Fixed an issue where the German Notes client installed the cacert.pem file in the wrong subdirectory. Workaround was to copy the file cacert.pem file from the Notes\Data\Shared folder into the Notes\Data\Shared\mui\de folder.
  • SPR# CDUTBYWLPJ – Client – Address book – Fixed a crash that could occur with certain photos set in person records.
  • SPR# CPONANRCDE – Client – Views – Fixed an issue where using Copy as Table with greater than 255 rows then pasting as text into Excel would result in lines being merged together every 255 rows.
  • +SPR# ECRAB8USGY – Client – Toolbars – Fixed an issue where customized toolbar settings were reset to default setting when restarting Notes. This regression was introduced in 9.0.1 FP10.
  • SPR# GPGL97K8KM – Client – Calendar – Fixed an issue where adding a calendar for a user with an ampersand (‘&’) in their user name would result in the entry showing a yellow warning triangle and the calendar would not open. The entry will now open correctly. Note, the ‘&’ will be displayed as an ‘_’.
  • SPR# HNAKBS9KQ9 – Client – Workspace – Fixed an issue where the “Stack replica icons” option was being enabled each time “compact workspace” was performed if user was a Roaming user.
  • SPR# JADGC2HU9U – Client – Mac – Big Sur – Fixed a crash trying to launch Notes. Workaround was as follows: In the file – /Users/username//Library/Application Support/HCL Notes/data/Expeditor/Applications/BrowserProfile/prefs.js, add the line – user_pref(“plugin.disable”, true);

Google enforced a policy to discontinue support for sign-in to Google accounts from embedded browser frameworks. Notes now uses external system browser for sign-in, instead of embedded SWT browser. This regression is caused due to Google policy enforcement.
  • SPR# MBLT9MVDVK – Client – iCal – Fixed an issue where .ics files containing umlaut character in their filename were not able to be imported.
  • SPR# MLAT93ZW4K – Client – Fixed an issue where the spell check dialog went behind the Notes window giving the impression that Notes was hung. This issue is seen more frequently when the preference: “Automatically close original e-mail when reply/forwarding” is set.
  • SPR# NDIOBA3GPF – Client – Fixed an issue where fonts would sometimes change to bold within the email body, address and subject fields.
  • +SPR# NVENBY3LX6 – Client – Security – Fixed an issue where upgrade to 11.0.1 Client would not add the new Domino Template Development id to Execution Control List (ECL). This resulted in the user getting ECL prompts when they tried to open any database using a template signed by new signer. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1.

  • SPR# PCHNC3TLME – Client – Locations – Fixed an issue where enabling Proxy Setting in location document and then switching locations with the Discover page open would crash the Notes client
  • SPR# PDARBXHF3W – Client – Calendar – Sending C&S workflow with an attachment and online meeting info used to drop the attachment. Now any attachments will be included on the outgoing iCalendar workflow message.
  • SPR# PDARBYJHW5 – Client – Mac – Big Sur – Fixed an issue where some horizontal and vertical scrolls bars were displaying as all black.
  • SPR# PPUEBYYHVS – Client – Mac – Big Sur – Fixed a crash that would occur Mac Big Sur version 11.2x in Apple CoreGraphics method CGDataProviderDirectGetBytesAtPositionInternal. This issue has been fixed by Apple in Big Sur version 11.3.
  • SPR# RKRYBX8P2J – Client – Fixed an issue where view and editor fonts would randomly changes to bold and Print Preview output was compressed.

  • SPR# SAHNBRCDSU – Client – Performance – Fixed an issue where dragging/dropping a Notes mail onto a folder in a Windows file share would result in a large temp file being created.
  • SPR# SAHNBSTFRR – Client – Mail – Fixed an issue a particular mail messages that contained multiple attachments was only showing the first attachment when shown full screen. The fix for this issue is off by default, behind the notes.ini DisableDontWrapFlag=1
  • SPR# SAHNBZLDVQ – Client – Document Links – Fixed a problem on Mac Big Sur where Notes client would freeze until hit Escape when trying to use left click or double click to open doclink in mail message. Workaround is to use right click or open link from preview pane.
  • +SPR# SAHNC6D7L6 – Client – Calendar – Fixed an issue with day numbers showing incorrectly in One Week view when Dansk is set as the primary language and as the “Regional profile” in the English standard client. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1 FP3.
  • SPR# SAIABTFEF7 – Client – UI – Fixed an intermittent issue with open tabs where certain tabs were not being shown. Workaround was to resize the window.
  • +SPR# SAPLBPEFVW – Client – General – Fixed issue where action bar text would be truncated in some screen resolutions. This regression was introduced in 10.0.
  • +SPR# SAPLBWQFEP – Client – Windows 10 – Fixed an issue where mail, calendar and contact text would appear blurred. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1.
  • +SPR# SAPLBWQHTD – Client – Editor – Fixed an issue where the tail of characters like g, j and y were not displaying correctly in mail when editing. This regression was introduced in 10.0.1.
  • SPR# STAABXT4LS – Client – Mail – Fixed an issue where attachments lost any comma and semicolon characters from their filenames when attaching the file using XPage File Upload control.

Designer

  • +SPR# AQNNC4RJMA – Designer – Fixed an issue where ‘\’ character in product strings was not being read in correctly. This regression was introduced in 11.0.1.
  • +SPR# ASHABZP2TK – Designer – Script Libraries – Fixed an issue where Application Config – xsp Properties – “Use runtime optimized JavaScript and CSS resources” option was not working if using multiple script libraries and a // comment was being used in one of the script libraries. Workaround was to change the comment to /* / format. This regression was introduced in 9.0.1 FP10. +SPR# ATHNBMCCWP – Designer – Fixed a crash when expanding Reference – LotusScript Language – All section in the LotusScript editor help panel. This regression was introduced in 11.0. SPR# BHUY89QGK7 – Designer – Fixed an issue where either the Java Debug Console would not launch from Domino Designer if “UseLSX “javacon”” is used in LotusScript Agent or, if Java Debug Console is already open, then a LotusScript agent with “UseLSX “*javacon”” construct would show an error.

iNotes Web Access

  • SPR# ASATBYPBED – iNotes – Fixed an issue where an error “Unable to interpret Time or Date” occurred in the server console if a particular type of meeting invitation was opened in iNotes. This problem occurs in a particular environment only.
  • +SPR# CSAOC2R69M – iNotes – Calendar – Fixed an issue on IE where the calendar form would shift to the left when switching between types. This regression was introduced in 9.0.1 FP7.
  • SPR# DCONBRKN4X – iNotes – Fixed an issue where rescheduling a meeting for all instances wasn’t working when there was an external invitee.
